I am submitting a recipe to go along with my set. It is not for food though it is a beverage. Here it is:
After your Thanksgiving meal is over and you are so full u can’t move I have the perfect after meal beverage that not only tastes unbelievable but it will settle your tummy very nicely. To make this more traditional I serve this drink in a mixed array of mason jars from small to large (the pilgrims drank out of such glasses) and it is always a big hit and it’s simple to make……great for children also (just omit the rum)
Here it is: Spiked & Spiced Hot Apple Cider Spiced and spiked, there’s no combination that’s more alluring when it comes to cider.
You’ll need: 8 cups pressed Apple Juice/Cider (not from concentrate) available in all Grocery Stores
1 orange, cut into 1/4 inch slices
3 cinnamon sticks
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 tablespoon cloves
1 inch piece of ginger cut into coin sized slices
1/4 cup brown sugar
*optional spiced rum
Directions:
1. Place all the ingredients into a large pot and bring to boil for 5 minutes.
2. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. 3. Strain cider before serving. Enjoy! 4. For a Spiked version, add a shot of spiced rum to each glass!
This drink is soooo good that once you make it you will always make it and your family will look forward to at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ingredients
1 (10-14pound) turkey
Ingredients
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 (14-pound) turkey, giblets removed, washed and dried
*2 3/4 gallons peanut oil, for frying
.
favorite injector liquid you can make your own or buy it premade
I use a oil less fryer it works great they have an electric one and a gas one prefer the gas one char broil big easy
otherwise you can do this but clean up messy
You will need an outdoor cooker (suggested size is 140,000 Btu) and a 10-gallon pot, preferably one with a basket insert (available in hardware stores and stores where outdoor equipment is sold). The insert keeps the bird off the bottom of the pot and facilitates removing it from the oil.
*Cook’s Note: To measure the amount of oil needed to fry the turkey, put the turkey in the fryer, add water to top of turkey, and mark the water line with a crayon or marker. Remove the turkey and the water line will indicate how much oil will be needed to fry your turkey. Having too much oil can cause a fire. The pot should not be more than 3/4 full or the oil could overflow when the turkey is added. Dry the fryer before adding the oil.
After measuring the amount of oil needed for the deep-fryer, dry the turkey well, inside and out, before proceeding.
Directions
Wash bird inside and out, and allow to drain. Use a marinade injecting syringe or turkey baster with an injector tip to inject the marinade all over the turkey including the legs, back, wings, thighs and breasts. .Mix the smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and thyme together in a bowl. Sprinkle the spice rub inside the cavity of the turkey and on the skin. Separate the skin from the breast meat and massage the rub onto the meat with your hands. Put the turkey on a large sheet tray and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight or up to 24 hours. follow oiless fryer directions or Heat peanut oil in a turkey fryer ,. Lower turkey into hot oil, very carefully, making sure it is fully submerged. Fry turkey for 3 minutes per pound plus 5 minutes per bird. Remove turkey from oil and drain on paper towels.
Thank you
